Leadership
For the past two years, I have obtained the title of my houses student vice principal, which makes me one of the highest ranked people on Sandy Upper's student leadership team. Due to this, I have worked hand in hand with my schools senior leadership team (Principal, Vice Principal etc.) and have come up with new regimes as well as ways to ensure that our school is the best that it can be. Other than working with the SLT, I have been put in charge of my houses ambassadors and form leaders, this means that I am accustomed with being able to lead a group of students. My role conveys my abilities of being able to work in a team, and leading my own team in an effective, organised fashion. Communication Due to my role as a vice principal at my school, I have partaken in multiple assemblies and presentations to both students and staff. Within the meetings that are held each term for the leadership teams, I have successfully presented my ideas to the group, enabling my suggestions to be taken into consideration. For the 11 weeks of my summer holiday, I worked as an office junior at CCF. During my time there, I answered the telephone, put in orders and worked out routes of the drivers. I also learnt how to use all of the systems that came with the job. In addition, I have previously worked as a barista at Cafe Nero for a couple of months.
Personal StatementI see myself as someone who is always determined to finish whatever task is at hand to a high standard, as anything unfinished causes me to feel like I've failed myself and others. I have always been told by teachers and adults that I am hardworking and a great asset to a class. I'm always up for helping others when they're struggling, and I am open to new techniques of carrying out a task. O have often been commended for my excellent manners and ways of presenting myself in front of new, or important people, as I always wish to make a positive and lasting impression.
